Mission: Provide an ICT Fixture for their advanced module design.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM provided turn key service; covered "Design For Test" rules with their Engineering team and delivered a state of the art fixture and program for the HP3070.

Mission: To provide a Functional Test Platform for their 4xx model products.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM designed, documented and delivered a full, turn-key MFG Functional Test system.

VERNIER NETWORKS
Mission: Provide Turn Key Functional Test Platform, and a Systems Test/Burn-in Test.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM provided a Functional Test Platform capable of testing both main assemblies. Working carefully with their ENG team JCM developed a Fully Functional Systems/Burn-in SW program that actually runs on the Unit Under Test; a local server provides the SW updates, test structures, test results and, provides real-time test updates. Real-time alerts are sent via email.


WOVEN SYSTEMS
Mission: Provide a Functional Test Platform for a 10G switch product.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM began with a Test Strategy and once approved, created the Project plan. This fully functional test platform is capable of both MFG test and ENG use.

MEIVAC
Mission: Re-design a crucial control module whose original components became obsolete.
JCM'S Involvement: No drawings or specifications were provided; JCM 'reverse engineered' the sub-assembly and then carefully designed a drop-in replacement that utilizes more modern components and provides backwards compatibility. Verify product/System performance.


GREENFIELD NETWORKS (CISCO)
Mission: Assist engineering in bringing their product into production.
JCM'S Involvement: MTBF calculations for their BAMBI project.


NETCONTINUUM
Mission: Provide technical assistance to their Product Enhancement Team.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM provided RCFA verification for a field problem and determined the information previously released by the supplier was not entirely accurate/forthcoming.

ALIPH
Mission: Assist ENG and Operations with bringing their unique product to market.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM provided crucial product performance feedback that helped shape the end product. JCM designed and prototyped a sophisticated test system capable meeting their performance criteria in a test time of just over 1min!. These high speed, high volume fixtures were replicated and brought into service overseas, in CHINA.


AKA
Mission: Root Cause Failure Analysis.
JCM'S Involvement: Analyze both the product and test environment and then using some advanced monitoring techniques, isolate Root Cause and provide both an interim and a long term solution.

  • RCFA for several other Module types, included creation of Customer Facing Documentation
  • Designed and Created a Functional Test Platform capable of parametric measurements tests for 5 different assemblies. This mixed signal test station is also capable of monitoring up to 600I/O's simultaneously!


CONSENTRY
Mission: Provide Test Engineering Resources for MFG Test.
JCM'S Involvement: Customer defined the test environments, JCM provided the resources necessary to deliver a programming test station and, a complete functional/system test program.

BRN_PHOENIX
Mission: Create a MFG Test Strategy for their WI_MAX product. Assist MFG VP with providing the technical resources for Operations.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM participated in design reviews and provided feed back on DFT/DFM related opportunities. Created their MFG Test Strategy for their 802.16 product.


VOCERA
Mission: Assist MFG ENG with product yield opportunities.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM provided an Engineering Team that thoroughly evaluated the product, test equipment & production line. The report conclusions were crucial to correcting the process related opportunities and directly increasing the efficiency of the production process.


ANTHOLOGY SOLUTIONS
Mission: Evaluate the test coverage of their Functional Test and provide a detailed report including recommendations.
JCM'S Involvement: We analyzed their HW design and created a Fault Matrix for each subsystem. The assigned engineer documents the test plan to be carried out by a technician through the Fault Coverage investigation process.

CYRAS (CIENA)
Mission: Assist engineering in bringing their product into production.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM provided three full time resources for several months to work on with both OC48 and OC192 design teams. After project completion we then worked the other line card project teams.

CERENT COMMUNICATIONS (CISCO)
Mission: Provide MFG ENG and RMA Module Support for their entire product line (Factory Support).
JCM'S Involvement: Provide the CM with MFG production support as required, Test Station SW Maintenance, repair of both Production and RMA Customer failures, provide detailed repair record information to ENG and facilitated weekly update meetings with corporate.


GADZOOX NETWORKS
Urgent Mission: Enhance ASIC test coverage to catch device failures for excessive noise. This high-speed SERDES (GAs substrate) presently operates well beyond the 500MHz bandwidth limit of the present Agilent ASIC test System.
JCM'S Involvement: Gadzoox ENG and JCM combined resources to characterize the problem and implement an effective ASIC screen to prevent suspect devices from getting into final product. The final solution incorporates an HP Spectrum Analyzer connected to the HP83000.


ASSURED ACCESS (ALCATEL)
Mission: Increase productivity, Production.
JCM'S Involvement: Improved Test Automation and Throughput. JCM expanded Functional Test Automation by a factor of 4, utilizing the available HW. Allowing their supplier to meet increasing demands without adding more equipment or overhead.

ASPECT TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Urgent Mission: UNIX Server responsible for building custom USER applications went down, their own internal IT could not support this particular machine nor its function.
JCM'S Involvement: JCM determined the root cause of the problem, took the disk to another specialist who was able to retrieve most contents and recreated their SW on another new disk, restoring both the machine and its function.
