DVT - Design Verification Testing

Functional Verification These tests verify that
a particular subsystem in the design is functional. It
involves software exercising a subsystem while checking for
an expected response. Oscilloscope or Waveform captures are
shown for clarity wherever
possible.
Signal Integrity and Timing
Verification
Signal integrity of all clocks and of subsets of certain
signals are checked in this section. Identifying worst-case
traces and capturing with a scope the signal waveform select
signal subsets. Timing is also verified for critical
sections.
4-Corner Testing Validates
System performance while margining both Voltage and
temperature. Frequency and Humidity are optional.
Temperature
Verification Performing
long-term Functional tests with all sub systems and ports
being continuously exercised in an Elevated Environment.
System Validation Testing
Performs software
integration and verifies system functionality to
specification.
Fault Coverage This plan
involves creating defects and verifying sub system
performance, error detection/monitoring.
